Health Professions Pathways (H2P) Consortium and National Association of Workforce Board (NAWB) Summit Building a Resilient Healthcare Workforce by Creating and Enhancing Workforce System-Community College Strategic Partnerships

The Health Professions Pathways (H2P) Consortium convened a meeting of the nine healthcare Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training co-grantees and invited colleges and their key stakeholders to take stock of where they were, learn from each other, and plan to move forward – over the rest of their grant periods and beyond. Together, these grantees constitute the H2P Consortium, a group whose vision is “to dramatically improve health professions training via career pathways and the development of core curriculum and core credentials,” and whose motto is “Individually we Innovate, Collectively we Transform.” Eight of the nine grantee teams participated in the summit, bringing a combined total of 35 individuals: 24 representatives from community colleges, five from workforce development organizations, and six from the healthcare industry. These 35 were joined by 10 participants not associated with a team, who were interested in building healthcare connections in their own communities. An additional eight individuals participated as presenters or resource people for the day.
