WCCC CTT144 Web Page Design
Students will create and maintain Web pages using HTML coding techniques. This course is taught within the PC computer lab but the coursework can be completed on other computer platforms either at home or in the lab. Students are expected to be proficient with the operating system on their computers, including file management and connecting to the Internet. Students are also expected to be proficient with using Web browsers.
This course will focus on the implementation of a web site for professional use with modern CSS and SEO strategies. Students will learn to create and edit HTML and CSS files directly using a text editor. Students are encouraged to use the code view of their browser to gain insight into existing HTML structures rather than using authoring tools such as WordPress, Dreamweaver, or other WYSIWIG tools.
