Chippewa Valley Technical College Program Support Materials

CVTC’s Machine Tooling Technics curriculum was modified to align with the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentials so that students could earn throughout the program at no additional cost to them. Since implementation, employers have begun to recognize the value in the credentials and are using the presence of a NIMS credential on a resume as a way to determine the quality of a candidate’s skills, rather than their own fabrication tests – saving time, money, and effort.
