Respiratory Care - Massasoit

The Respiratory Care Program serves the respiratory medical community and the population of greater Brockton, southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod by preparing advanced-level respiratory care practitioners who are competent in oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, hyperinflation therapy, airway care, arterial blood gases, ventilator management, pediatrics, home care, ACLS, neonates, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, and bronchial hygiene. The graduates will demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving in the respiratory care modalities, communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and family members, employ safety practices, foster professional development and growth and are prepared to achieve registration and employment in the field of respiratory care.
