Implementing a Statewide Strategy for Industry Cluster Formation and Community Revitalization in Hawaii

Kapiolani Community College's proposal, Implementing an Island-wide Strategy for Industry Cluster Formation and Community Revitalization in Hawaii, will provide innovative workforce development and training in three industry sectors. Two of the sectors Hospitality and Health are among the largest employers in the state, and Food Innovation is a growth area that responds to critical unmet needs. The project is expected to enhance the credentials of 550 participants, create renovated facilities for Food Innovation, and develop new and advanced technology components to enhance learning through hotel resort simulation for the Hospitality program.
