University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) Pathway to Employment

University of Alaska Southeast's Fisheries Technology program, Pathway to Employment, focuses on improving and expanding fisheries education through TAACCCT Option Three: innovative technology enhancements and support program acceleration. Alaska is a global leader in well-managed fisheries, having a diverse maritime industry, and i s home to critical marine research. UA has been working with employers to identify: current and future employment opportunities in fisheries industries, existing and anticipated gaps in education and training, and the most efficient and effective ways of providing employment training for Alaskan students. Pathway to Employment will provide TAA-eligible workers, veterans, Alaska Natives and other adults the skills, degrees, and credentials needed for high-wage, high-skill employment; while l also serving to meet the needs of current and future employers in fisheries related fields.
