HIM2284C Intermediate Coding and Classifications

This course provides an introduction to procedure coding using ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding classification systems both manual and computer-based practice. The guidelines, conventions, and all body systems will be covered to apply accurate code data for research, indices, registries, and reimbursement of health care services. Additional classification systems and nomenclatures will be covered in the HIM 2214 Health Data Management course.
