This module provides entry level learning for persons interested in learning about wheelchair and seating evaluation and the fitting processes.
The wheelchair and seating evaluation is a meeting to determine a patient’s seating and mobility needs. The purpose is to formulate a plan to ensure the appropriate equipment is acquired. This meeting typically includes a patient, the patient’s family members, a patient’s or user’s caregiver, a physical or occupational therapist, an assistive technology professional, and a durable medical equipment (DME) representative.
