This course will examine the nature of concrete and how its characteristics can be altered through the use of admixtures to satisfy the various needs of the concrete industry. The effects of chemical and mineral admixtures will be done through the approach referencing Portland cement chemistry. ASTM and AASHTO Standards will be discussed.
