Concrete Aggregates Basics

This course will be an overview of the aggregates industry. The purpose and function of fine aggregates (sand) and coarse aggregates (gravels, crushed stone, and beneficed aggregates) and their relationship in the construction industry will be discussed. Both natural and manufactured lightweight aggregates are discussed. Industry standards for testing and evaluating are also discussed.
