Instructions for constructing the “Additive Manufacturing” Canvas course.

This course contains more than 1 GB of material and this size may exceed the upload limit in a Canvas instance.  If this is the case, the course can be imported in two pieces.  Canvas may impose a 500 MB limit on a course content import and a 1 GB limit on course files, so the following steps describe how to assemble smaller pieces into a whole.

Step 1)  Start by creating or selecting a Canvas course and under the “Settings” menu choose “Import Course Content”.  Select the “Canvas Course Export Package” content type and point to the file “wise-grant-mfg-225-additive-manufacturing-export.imscc”.  This file contains all the course material in its appropriate arrangement with the exception of PowerPoint slides.  Note there may be issues with the import due to these missing files and this is fine.

Step 2)  The links to PowerPoints will appear in the course, by the files themselves need to be added as a separate step.  In the course, in the "Files" section, add a new folder named "Class PowerPoints".  Inside this folder, upload all the PowerPoint files.  Note these files are in a zip named "Class_PowerPoints", so first unzip these and then upload them.
