This course establishes a strong foundation in securing networks and working with many security tools. Students will utilize firewalls, security tools, and various computer security techniques. The class enforces legal and security concepts to help computer professionals and enthusiasts prevent such occurrences. Several networking operating systems will be discussed. Students will enhance their knowledge and familiarity with these network operating systems, more advanced computer networking concepts, and security issues that surround these topics. Students will also experiment with various system services while utilizing network analysis tools. In addition, students will research computer security topics and practice gained knowledge in a controlled environment. De-mystifying the ?hacking? world and providing a comfort with securing the popular network operating systems are the primary goal
