WELDING TECHNOLOGY
The Welding Technology Program provides the theoretical and practical experience necessary to develop basic foundational welding skills. The curriculum was designed to meet regional employer needs and meets the minimum skill standards established by the American Welding Society (AWS) for entry-level welders.
Training is given in both theory and practical skills in various welding and cutting processes. This includes Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Flux Core Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Thermal Cutting and Metal Fabrication. Along with hands-on training students will learn Welding Safety, Blueprint Reading for Welders, Math for Welders, and Non-destructive Testing,
