Brochure for BGS Degree with Major Concentration in Health Care Administration

This brochure provides information about the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) degree with a major concentration in Health Care Administration and minor concentration in Allied Health or Electronic Health Records at Eastern Connecticut State University. Under the HL-SCI grant project, Eastern developed articulation agreements with grant consortium community colleges to allow students who have completed an AS in clinical health fields, electronic records, or health information management to use that experience/those credits to fulfill the minor requirement for the BGS program (as well as other degree requirements).

The Connecticut Health & Life Sciences TAACCCT consortium engaged statewide and local employers to help shape and implement this grant. This included a review of proposed curricula and recommendations for program structure that reflects the health care and Science sectors in the State of Connecticut. The consortium also engaged advisory boards at each member college to solicit input and recommendations for this initiative.
