CTB014 Health Care Math and Science

This course is designed for students who are co-enrolled in a college credit course in the health care field. The contextualized math curriculum includes basic algebra, basic geometry and math computations used in health care settings. The science component includes anatomy and physiology, but will also build skills used for academic reading, writing, research and oral presentations. The application of technology skills required to suceed in academic courses is emphasized. Please note that all course materials and content are provided in the IMS Common Cartridge (IMSCC) format.

Industry Partner:
An Industry Advisory Panel was established to develop the College Transition and Bridge courses. The panel consisted of representatives from a variety of industries, including agriculture, consumer protection, environmental protection, food processing, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Advisory Panel members contributed to the design, development and delivery of the courses developed through this TAACCCT grant. The members also provide opportunities for work-based learning and job placements for program graduates.
