CTB013 Health Care Language Arts

This course is designed for students who are co-enrolled in a health care credit class. Topics include current health care issues, the medical community and the role of ethics which are all discussed, evaluated and analyzed through the core subjects of reading and social studies. Study skills and learning strategies are reviewed to ensure successful completion of credit classes. Career exploration, the job search process, professional conduct and communication are also addressed. Please note that all course materials and content are provided in the IMS Common Cartridge (IMSCC) format.

Industry Partner:
An Industry Advisory Panel was established to develop the College Transition and Bridge courses. The panel consisted of representatives from a variety of industries, including agriculture, consumer protection, environmental protection, food processing, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Advisory Panel members contributed to the design, development and delivery of the courses developed through this TAACCCT grant. The members also provide opportunities for work-based learning and job placements for program graduates.
