CIS 1140 - Information Systems Analysis and Design

CIS 1140 is a "big picture" course! It covers what is called the "Systems Development Life Cycle" or (SDLC) - a process to develop projects. These projects can include any kind of IT project (an application system, a network design, a web site or a software migration project), but the process can be applied to ANY project - whether it's that English paper you have to write or that garage that needs to be cleaned or that wedding that needs to be planned! But whether you're a web designer, programmer, network manager, user support technician, network engineer, or security expert you need to be able to break a project down into manageable processes and tasks and complete all steps in order to see that project through to a successful completion. The syllabus is included in the course and contains the course objectives, student learning outcomes, list of assignments and names of the course textbooks.
