MFG115 Safety

This course studies safety within a manufacturing environment. Students are informed about the Occupational Safety and Health Act and its impact on safety. They are informed about their rights to a safe workplace and the obligations placed on employers to comply with this legislation. Students are introduced to different types of safety devices that are commonly used in the workplace. They are also informed about the role of the employee in making the work environment safer.
