Resources for Community & Professional Concepts (Nursing) (NUR 211)

The Associate Degree Nursing program was redesigned to align nursing curriculum collegewide in order to deliver instruction in a concept-based format with multiple points of entry and exit. This collection of resources contains curriculum and support materials for Community & Professional Concepts (Nursing). This course is designed to further develop the nurse's role as an entry-level healthcare provider and transition to practice as a professional nurse. Concepts integral to the individual, nursing, and healthcare domains build on prior knowledge and are demonstrated through increasingly complex exemplars. Clinical experiences emphasize the safe, caring, competent performance of nursing practice, communication, professionalism, and management in a variety of community healthcare settings. Materials include pre-class assignments, activities, case studies, PowerPoint presentations, mock interview and service learning project information, resources, and instructor support materials.
