Resources for Nursing Concepts II (NUR 180)

The Associate Degree Nursing program was redesigned to align nursing curriculum collegewide in order to deliver instruction in a concept-based format with multiple points of entry and exit. This collection of resources contains curriculum and support materials for Nursing Concepts II. This nursing course is designed to further develop the nurse's role as an entry-level healthcare provider. Concepts integral to the individual, nursing, and healthcare domains build on prior knowledge, and are demonstrated in a healthcare environment. Clinical experiences emphasize the safe, caring, competent performance of nursing practice, communication, and professionalism in inpatient healthcare settings. Materials include activities, PowerPoint presentations, critical thinking and ethical debate activities, lab activities, skill evaluation checklists, resources, case studies, lecture capture presentations, as well as lesson plans, lab setups and guidelines, and additional support materials.
