About BT12: This course describes a detailed study of the manufacture of biopharmacuticals/biologics from quality requirements and agency regulations to industrial techniques within the biotechnology field. Special topics include the Quality Assurance/Control, Validation, Process Development and Good Manufacturing Practices of biomanufacturing, the basic biology and chemistry as it applies to the manufacture of biological products, and procedures, proper techniques, and documentation of the biomanufacutring process.

- Criteria were established for reviewing the OER and an assessment rubric was created for SMEs to ensure consistency across all reviewers. SMEs were trained on the purpose and implementation of the assessment rubric and reviewed documents over a two week period. ATD provided oversight to the process and ensured that written reviews were complete and facilitated answers to questions from SME panelists.
