This is an E-Portfolio Development course designed to help students identify learning experiences, match their learning to college courses, and articulate and document their learning in a portfolio to request credit for specific courses. At NOVA, this course is called the Prior Learning Activity for Credit Evaluation (PLACE) course.

Criteria were established for reviewing the OER and an assessment rubric was created for SMEs to ensure consistency across all reviewers. SMEs were trained on the purpose and implementation of the assessment rubric and reviewed documents over a two week period. ATD provided oversight to the process and ensured that written reviews were complete and facilitated answers to questions from SME panelists. The assessment rubric consisted of questions addressing following areas: • Learner objectives and interaction • Learner support • Instructional design • Instructional materials • Assessment and measurement • Industry-based application • Licensing • Accessibility The review is included as a file upload.
