Revised-5: Emergency Medicine Paramedic Studies A.S. Degree and Certification

The Emergency Medicine Paramedic A.S. degree program is designed to prepare students to assume management level careers in pre-hospital administration. The program of study includes the paramedic studies courses as well as the general educational courses in order to receive the Associate's Degree. If a student does not want to pursue an Associate's Degree and complete the general education courses, then that student can receive a Paramedic Certification. Both the Paramedic A.S. degree and the Paramedic Certification contain the same paramedic studies courses.

The consortium also engaged advisory boards at each member college to solicit input and recommendations for this initiative.
