Manufacturing Production Technician

The Manufacturing Production Technician Skills Certificate program prepares students for entry into production employment with a solid foundation of manufacturing processes, safety, quality, operations and maintenance functions. The four CPT courses have a certification assessment though the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC). Through MSSC, students will earn a certificate for each of the four assessments successfully completed and students who successfully complete all four assessments are awarded the Certified Production Technician (CPTAE) from MSSC. The CPT is recognized by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). This certificate can be accepted as part of the technical requirements for the AAS in Industrial Electrical Maintenance.

Quality Note:
When looking at outcome assessments, the hybrid format has some advantages that a strictly online class does not. By meeting on ground and having classroom assessments, we are able to determine what portion of the online format students struggles with. An example, would be covering a chapter in class and reviewing questions that students would later test online.
