RTE 264 MRI Advanced Procedures
This course will introduce the most advanced imaging procedures and technical developments in MRI today. Emphasis will be placed on the heart and thorax, MRA of the head and neck, DWI, PWI, MRS, fMRI, and breast imaging. The objectives of this course are to:
1. Identify and discuss arterial and venous flow in the human body.
2. List and describe the standard imaging planes and supplemental procedures, anatomy, and pathological conditions encountered in MRI of the heart, thorax, vessels of the head and neck, and breast tissue.
3. Discuss and demonstrate knowledge of flow phenomena, vascular imaging, contrast agents, and functional imaging techniques.
4. Identify anatomical features and gross pathology on selected MRI studies.
The following lessons are included in this course: Heart and Thorax MRI, Head and Neck MRI, Breast MRI, DWI and PWI.
