RTE 264 MRI Advanced Procedures

This course will introduce the most advanced imaging procedures and technical developments in MRI today. Emphasis will be placed on the heart and thorax, MRA of the head and neck, DWI, PWI, MRS, fMRI, and breast imaging. The objectives of this course are to: 1. Identify and discuss arterial and venous flow in the human body. 2. List and describe the standard imaging planes and supplemental procedures, anatomy, and pathological conditions encountered in MRI of the heart, thorax, vessels of the head and neck, and breast tissue. 3. Discuss and demonstrate knowledge of flow phenomena, vascular imaging, contrast agents, and functional imaging techniques. 4. Identify anatomical features and gross pathology on selected MRI studies. The following lessons are included in this course: Heart and Thorax MRI, Head and Neck MRI, Breast MRI, DWI and PWI. These files are SCORM packages and can be easily uploaded to your Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard or Desire2Learn. If you want to view or use the files without an LMS, download the files to your computer, extract (unzip) the file, open the extracted folder, and click to open the story.html file. The lesson will open in your browser window. If used on your LMS, the user will be given a score of complete or incomplete. This completion data is only available if used on an LMS. The SCORM packages are complete and not available for editing. If you would like to include additional information, consider adding the content before or after the booster on your LMS.
