PN121 Syllabus

This course will introduce the student, in theory and practice, to the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of clients with common health conditions. The role of the practical nurse will be described in relation to meeting the basic needs of those clients in all stages of health and illness. Integrated throughout the course are basic concepts of nutrition and drug therapy used in the treatment/management of different disease processes. Clinical practice in various settings provides the student with the opportunity to gain competence in skills and nursing care.
