Career Services Materials Description: The following materials were developed with DOL Transformation Agenda funding as part of an effort to enhance career services for students at Greenfield Community College (GCC): Materials developed by Janine Desgres – GCC Career Coach: a) Guides for accessing components of the MassCIS (Career Information Systems) web site to secure information about Transfer to a 4-year School, how to use the Interest Profiler, how to develop a Portfolio, and how to Research a Career. b) Quick guide to how to access the state job posting site – JobQuest – for job search and how to create a personal account on JobQuest c) Career Map guides to the Medical Assistant (MAC) and Medical Office (MOC) one-year certificate programs and to the Renewable Energy/Energy Efficience (RE/EE) one-year certificate. Maps include information about occupations and further education related to each certificate. Note: the Career Maps were created from a template developed by the North Shore Community College career services department. Materials developed by Andrew Baker – DOL Program Manager: a) 10-Point Career Skills Checklist – a quick guide for students to the key items they should have in their career skills “toolbox” to be prepared for work and internship opportunities. b) Workshop on Writing Effective Cover Letters
