The practical nurse program prepares students through classroom, lab and clinical experience for employment in hospitals, nursing homes and a variety of other healthcare facilities. The practical nurse provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and assists RNs in providing care to patients in more complex situations. As part of their labs, students work with high tech manikins, which provides them with "hands-on" patient care experience within a safe environment.
