Basic Procdeure Coding - BCC

This is the first coding course in Berkshire Community College's Medical Coding Program. This course is a comprehensive study of basic HCPCS coding with a focus on CPT-4 Coding. Outpatient and professional coding for evaluation and management, anesthesia, surgery, pathology, laboratory, radiology and medicine will be emphasized. This course will also explore coding for emergency rooms, physicians' offices, professional services at inpatient facilities and outpatient facilities and HCPS II codes. Pre-Requisites: Placement into College Level Reading, Writing and MAT 029 (Elementary Algebra IV-VI). Pre-Requisite or with permission of instructor: Medical Terminology (AHS 129)
