High Touch, High Tech, High-Demand Training to Create Skilled Healthcare Workers (HT3)

The HT3 for Healthcare project will develop a program of study with innovative strategies focusing on the needs of the healthcare industry, NH's second largest employer. In collaboration with industry, education and public-sector workforce partners, Manchester Community College (MCC) will develop new evidenced-based courses and programs to ensure graduates meet the skill and knowledge requirements of newly evolving healthcare occupations and careers. New programs will be enhanced to meet the needs of the targeted population and others through increased online and technology-enabled learning and intensive student support services to maximize successful outcomes. Programs will be offered through an accelerated approach to shorten time to re-employment for TAA-eligible workers, Veterans, and others; with a focus on career lattices to educate and train healthcare professionals for inter-related functional roles and activities. The design will prepare graduates for various positions at hospitals, doctors' practices and community-based agencies; and will allow workers to navigate multiple healthcare careers utilizing educational credits and experiences that transfer.
