BLD 160 Residential Energy Auditing-Spring2015
Introduction to residential energy auditing, topics to be studied include the history of residential energy audits, Manual-J calculations, HVAC sizing calculations, CAZ testing, blower door and duct leakage testing and mechanical ventilation requirements. Emphasis on heat loss calculations, furnace sizing, energy usage, testing procedures, mechanical requirements and BCRs. Course work will include how to incorporate energy efficient and green construction techniques into a proposed or existing home.
