CIT527AA (Programming for Android I Introduction, User Interface, and User Variables)
This course, CIT527AA, focuses on introducing the student to the Android environment, the User Interface, and User Variables.
This is the first of a series of three courses (CIT527AA, CIT527AB, & CIT527AC) that combined provide a basic overview of the mobile application landscape in terms of Android devices, development, and operating system. Content development for mobile applications and the influence interface design has on the user experience will be a focus. Students will acquire technology skills to develop their own applications using open source software. Students will test and debug these applications on in a virtual lab and learn how to test and debug on Android Devices. Students will also be exposed to beginning concepts of JAVA programming.
NOTE: There are assessments at the end of each lesson/module dedicated to the material contained within that lesson. Furthermore, there is a Final Project at the end of CIT527AC that is a practical assessment of the competencies/objectives for the entire series of three courses (CIT527AA, CIT527AB, & CIT527AC).
