ESSS 102 Personal Trainer Exercise Externship

The purpose of the exercise externship is to provide practical experience for students registered in the personal trainer program.  Students will apply and synthesize the knowledge base skills of a personal trainer in a supervised commercial, community or clinical fitness setting.  Students will have opportunities to engage with individuals of various age and functional abilities.  The course includes a campus based student lecture series to provide students with review and supplemental knowledge of the personal training profession.
