Stationary Engineering
This course was designed to bring students up to speed in their knowledge of pumps and the systems that run them. Practical electronics and process control systems are also covered. It includes discussions on function and application of motors and generators. Electronic Test Equipment, Electronic Servicing, Electronic Specific Safety Practices are part of the course content. Process Automation Principles, Process Safety, Pressure and Flow Transmission, Heating Devices, Chilling Devices, and PID Controllers will be examined. Students will acquire knowledge necessary to troubleshoot problems and replace or make necessary repairs.
