WM W&M’s Digital Inclusion Initiative

The William & Mary Digital Inclusion Initiative aligned a variety of emergent activities around digital inclusion, with a focus on tech adoption, health, governance, and finance, to create a campus-wide initiative that successfully: a) created university-wide programming for students to engage with practitioners and policymakers to increase awareness and discourse around public interest technology; b) scaled multidisciplinary, pioneering research to influence policy debates around increasing digital access; and c) built a framework to increase the number of student research opportunities for underrepresented populations to gain skills and become future leaders in their fields.
