ASU Bloomn: A social impact innovation competition, community, and accelerator platform, designed to sustainably support and inspire the next generation of public interest technologists

Arizona State University developed the foundation for an innovative, scalable software platform designed to facilitate collaborative competitions. Initiated under one project leader, our direction pivoted due to a change in the principal investigator. Despite this, we remained committed to aligning our efforts with the original proposal's objectives. Our software platform, designed with a mobile-first approach, successfully supports Android, iOS, and web applications, enhancing its reach and accessibility. We also introduce a peer-to-peer scoring system to reduce apathy and tampering, ensuring fair and collaborative competition. In an exciting step towards fostering a collaborative spirit and innovation, our software work will be released under a Creative Commons License. This allows others to build upon our project, extending its potential impact beyond our initial scope. We are excited about the potential of our platform and look forward to witnessing its real-world applications and impact.
