This course introduces professional healthcare provider expectations. The fundamentals course provides instruction on core teamwork skills, along with a variety of strategies and tools designed to enhance performance and patient safety. TeamSTEPPS was developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the Department of Defense (DoD) as a teamwork system that offers a powerful solution to improving collaboration and communication within an institution.
