Advanced Tooling Applications MAC 224

This course will provide a complex understand of tooling selection and application with regard to tool geometries, tool coatings, and toolpath strategy. This course will provide the necessary knowledge to properly implement 5 axis machining techniques to maximize tool life and efficiency in production machining of complex components. Students will also gain an in-depth understanding of the effect of tool geometry on machining parameters. This resource provides links to training materials from Sandvik Coromant and Kyocera SGS.
