Nursing Simulation Scenarios

This collection of high-fidelity simulations is aimed at preparing pre-RN nursing students for a variety of patient care challenges. The cases include resuscitation, medication administration, postpartum hemorrhage, hypoglycemia, sepsis, stroke, and hypovolemia. The descriptions include patient information, technical requirements for putting on the simulation, and a scenario flowchart. A PowerPoint supplements one of the simulations. An overview of a video set about debriefing simulations is also provided. The videos are available in the Program Support Materials Collection section. To preserve instructional security, this information is under an embargo until June 2020. To receive the full scenarios, follow the embargo instructions and/or contact HWPS_SimLab@cnm.edu.
