Advanced Manufacturing to Compete in a Global Economy

Clark State Community College, located in west-central Ohio has proposed to advance local manufactures to compete in a global economy. CSCC strategy is to design an employer engaged process for new or redesigned stackable certificate programs which will train 240 participants. The program will engage veterans, military personnel (six months honorable discharge), TAA eligible, long term employed, unemployed, and under employed. The program will be a two semester certificate with transferable credits to an existing associate degree program with the option for expanded career pathways options. CSCC will work with employers to develop one to two credit hour internship employment opportunities and upon completion of the program; participants can apply for the welder examination.
