Web Design and Development II

This is the course outline for Capital Community College’s Web Design and Development II. This web design course is a continuation from Web Design and Development I. It provides students with advanced skills to create more professional web sites that include multimedia and display responsively in desktop and mobile browsers. Students learn how to use Content Management Systems (CMS) to manage and maintain web sites. Students also learn Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to improve web page rankings in search engines. Students will extend their knowledge of HyperText Markup Language (HTML) to incorporate multimedia elements into web pages. Students will extend their knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to apply responsive web design techniques for mobile devices. Students will also gain experience with popular Content Management Systems (CMS) and learn and apply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies.
