Database Design I

This is the course outline for Capital Community College’s Database Design I. In this course, students will learn to design and implement a database system, analyze business requirements, create logical data models, convert data models into physical database designs, and implement database designs in a relational database management system. Topics such as Data Modeling, Entity-Relationship Diagrams, Database Normalization, and Structured Query Language (SQL) are covered in detail. Students will gain hands-on experience designing databases and implementing databases in a relational database management system.
