Fundamentals of Mechatronics & Industrial Maintenance
This is an introductory course to the study of electro-mechanical systems controlled by programmable logic controllers (PLCs)/microcontrollers. The course concentrates on an introduction to mechatronics, programing logic controller (PLC), microcontrollers, machine operation, safety, PLC and robot programing, sensors, limit switches, and 3D model designs. Labs and class projects are designed to give students hands-on experience on 3D printer, Allen Bradley Compactlogix controller, Fanuc industrial robot and mechatronics assembly line.
