HIT 120 Record Management

HIT 120 provides the Health Information Technology student with an understanding of management, storage, filing, etc. of health records; paper or electronic. Upon completion of course, the student will be able to apply policies and procedures surrounding issues of access and disclosure of protected health information, privacy, security, confidentiality, and retention and destruction of health records. Additionally, the student will be able to explain current trends and future challenges in health information exchange.
