MEDA 1301 Laboratory Procedures I

This course is designed to introduce the student to the clinical laboratory. Laboratory safety, use and maintenance of lab equipment, use and maintenance of microscopes, quality assurance and controls will be taught, the student will perform CLIA-waived tests according to CLIA guidelines. Students will collect simulated specimens and perform urine, occult blood, throat, wound and wet preps in the lab setting.
