This course introduces health care statistics in relation to management, decision-making, government agencies, quality assessment and research. Students are introduced to research techniques and reporting protocol for hospital statistics. Cancer and other specialized registries will be covered. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
