Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) will pioneer a Virtual College in Oregon that will be replicable and scalable to other community colleges across the country. It will be open-entry, competency-based, accelerated, and specifically designed to meet the training and education needs of TAA-certified and other disadvantaged adults. Furthermore, it will be based on high-quality, innovative, cognitive task analysis with a cutting edge design to meet individual student learning needs. The Virtual College, which will be overseen by a leadership team, will operate under the following core values: a solid business plan, involved faculty, a fierce student focus, engaged dynamic learning, unique and individualized student experiences, and an easy-to-use course delivery system.
